I forgot to mention that about 1 every couple of month I go through my coupons and mail them overseas. The military bases honor coupons that are expired. They are able to give them out to families who can use it to shop on the base. Please check out this website to ship coupons overseas! Yes you do have to do a customs form and it does cost a bit, but it's still a nice thought.
I thought I'd bring this up because this is the hobby of many elders nowadays. This article talks about people in retirement communities taking the time to mail off coupons. So even if you don't coupon shop, if you get the Sunday paper, maybe keeping the inserts, and clipping them and mailing it off once a month would be awesome.
